Sickness, sitting up, and no more swaddle, oh my! Lets just say that blogging has taken a backseat to a very very busy two weeks!
I caught a cold over Labor Day weekend, proceeded to give it to Grace, and Grace oh so kindly gave it to her daddy! Lets just say it was not a pretty picture and leave it at that! We are now all feeling better, and we are enjoying watching Grace work on her new trick! She is now intent on always sitting up and hates to be on her back. She has had a couple times where she manages to stay upright, but she definitely needs a lot of support right now!
She is also sleeping at night (or at least attempting to sleep at night) without her wonderful swaddle blanket. She was constantly kicking out of it, so we decided it was time to take it away and see how things go. This has led to less sleep for Pat and I, but every night is getting a little better! We find that Grace likes to play with her feet if they are not swaddled, and that is not very productive for getting sleep. Wish us luck in our journey of getting rid of the swaddle- we need it!
