We started one day early, going to storytime with our friends, Kim, Caden, and Evan, on Thursday. We then went to their house to decorate cookies and open gifts. We were so bummed they couldn't come to Grace's birthday party but we had a great time with them.
On Grace's birthday, Pat came home early and we were able to spend the day relaxing outside, enjoying Grace's new swingset. My parent's were also in town, back from Florida, and we all played and spent time planning for Grace's birthday party the next day.
Pat's parents came over for dinner that night, so Grace was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents there to celebrate her birthday. After dinner, we took a walk to Cone World for ice cream, which is becoming a tradition for Grace's birthday. It was a great day.
The next day was Grace's birthday party and we had a lot of friends and family come to celebrate. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and spent most of the time playing outside. Grace loved her heart shaped cupcake but was done after a couple messy bites! We are blessed to have such amazing people to love and care about our daughter.
