I am not very good at New Years Resolutions but I do think they are a great idea and try to come up with a list every year to motivate myself. Pat and I actually had a list we made the year before we got pregnant with Grace of things we would like to make happen before having children. This was a huge motivator and we accomplished every goal by July of that year!
So, when coming up with my list this year, I thought of a couple that I would actually share here, out in cyberspace, with the hope that if others know them, they can help hold me accountable!
So, lets get to it!
-- Lose an additional 30 lbs on top of the 35 lbs I have already lost. Do this by working out 6 days a week and eating all meals at home- NO EATING OUT!
--In connection to my first goal, sign up for the Riverbank Run in May and get training! I started running this past summer but had some problems with my knees. Time to hope back on the treadmill and get to work! Pat and I have this as a shared goal.
--Pay off all debt except for our house. This includes student loans and that is what it going to take the most effort! I know we can do it just need to be a little more dedicated to the budget.
--Be more positive, in all aspects of life, work, family, friends, etc. It is a lot easier to just be mad then try to see the positive in a situation and be an adult because other people are involved. Trust me, I have definitely had to work on this a lot lately and failed miserably, so just trying to get better!
--Go to church regularly. No excuses!
--Give more time to my family. Less internet and tv, more focus on spending quality time together. Reading blogs, playing on message boards, and the oh so addicting Facebook, are not going to be in my daily routine anymore. Definitely need to refocus on the living and less on the internet.
Well, those are the main ones and now they are out there for everyone to see so hopefully that will kick my butt in gear! Obviously, the person who needs to be dedicated to this list is me, and I am so ready to make some changes!!!

Not only do we save money on not going out to eat but my weight has stayed a lot less than what it was because of it so there is a double bonus for me.
I can't imagine you NOT being positive. But, I know we all have our moments. Just wanted to say that you sure don't show it to the rest of us if you are negative :-).
