Just to start out, for those who do not know us well, let me introduce our Roth Family of Five. First, there was just Patrick and Shawn, a happy family of two, newlyweds living in a small, cheap, two bedroom apartment that we loved! We decided to purchase a home in May 2005 which was perfect for us and began to enjoy the life of paying a mortgage, mowing grass, and having to fix anything we broke!
The following month we decided we wanted a dog since we have a fenced in double lot backyard and both love dogs! We heard about a stray beagle that had been found by one of Pat's co-workers, and that is how Izzy came to live with us and we became a family of three! She is an attention hog and was the baby of the family for about a year, before we decided to adopt another beagle to keep Izzy company. We found Lily through an organization called Vicky's pet connection which rescues abused dogs. Lily was in very bad condition when we got her, but she is now a healthy and happy dog and our family was up to 4!
We found out in August of 2006 that we would be adding another member to our family, a little baby girl who was due to be born on April 11, 2007. Grace Marie came a little late and was born on April 17, 2007. She was 7 lbs. and 19 1/2 inches, and is now almost 3 1/2 months old! She is amazing and beautiful and we love her very much! We are now quite a busy household, and sometimes our household of five feels like ten!
