Dealing with the big "D"

As many of you have heard, we have had a pretty yucky month dealing with what we call the big "D"- diarrhea! For almost three weeks, Grace has been having horrible problems with diarrhea, which has led to numerous calls to the doctor, frequent visits, tons of grape Pedialyte, and horrible diaper rashes- exactly how you want to remember your first Christmas! The doctors office is unsure as to what is wrong with Grace, but they finally took a urine and stool sample last week to send to the lab for tests. We are hoping this will give us the answers we need to get Grace healthy again. She is becoming a very long skinny thing and I can not wait to fatten her up again!

As you can imagine, this made for a very long and tiring Christmas time for the whole family, but there were a lot of good times mixed in, and I would rather focus on the good for the rest of this post! We had what I call the 5 days of Christmas in our family, which is included a trip up north to visit family, Christmas Eve with the Roth clan, Christmas day with all of Grace's grandparents, and the day after Christmas with the Lyons family. We enjoyed lots of great food, fun with family, and Grace received lots of fun gifts! We had one more visit planned for this past Saturday to Ohio for the Roth family BINGO Christmas Party, but Grace and I decided to sit it out since she was still feeling yucky. Pat was able to go with his dad, and said we missed a good time, so hopefully we will get a chance to visit soon! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Here are some pictures from each of the different events- enjoy!
