Go Bears!

No, I do not think the Bears are in the Super Bowl this year, but since we are a Bears family through and through, I figured I would cheer for them anyways! We are actually split in our household this year with who we want to win, with Pat wanting the Patriots to win and I am going for the underdogs, the Giants. So, in the spirit that this blog is for our whole family, we will just stick with the original "Go Bears" statement!

Pat and I were reminiscing today about last year's Super Bowl and how much can change in a year! During Super Bowl weekend last year it was blizzard conditions outside, we spent the whole weekend inside finishing Grace's nursery, and school was canceled for the Monday after due to the weather conditions. We spent hours putting together baby furniture and decorating, and I know Pat was so excited when we were done!

This year, it was a beautiful weekend with blue skies and no blizzard like conditions! We spent yesterday at the movies while Pat's parents watched Grace, had a relaxing dinner together afterwards, and spent most of today playing with Grace and hanging out. There was no furniture to put together this year and I think we were both very thankful! I do remember how last year we were so excited for Grace to get here, and how nervous we were about being parents. One year later, life is very different for our little family but I wouldn't change it for the world! One thing is still the same- Pat is watching the Super Bowl and I am playing on the computer- some things will never change!

Life with Grace does get more entertaining everyday. Her new tricks include pretending to choke (not a great trick, I know) and laughing anytime someone else laughs. The fake choking was very scary at first, but we think she is looking for attention and trust me, she gets it when she does it! She is doing it less and less, and we are hoping this new "trick" will end soon! She did it while we were at the mall today, and many people gave us the look that said "what kind of parents are you letting your daughter choke!" The laughing all the time actually makes us laugh harder, which turns into a horrible cycle of laughter between the three of us that lasts way too long sometimes! She did it while Pat and his parents were talking yesterday and it was too funny. She can also pull herself up on the couch, entertainment center, gate, you name it, she can pull herself up using it. She is becoming very daring with her attempts and has earned the bumps and bruises to prove it.

I can't end without some pictures, so enjoy!

Cute pictures!

Avery used to fake choke too, and it is scary! She chokes for real with chunkier foods, so It's hard to tell when she's playing.
