Afternoon at the beach

We decided to take a road trip yesterday to Spring Lake to see Nick and Ashley and go to the beach. The skies did not look promising on our trip over but hoping for the best we still headed over. After a quick dinner, we changed and headed to the beach about 5 minutes from their house. Ashley and Nick had asked me previously if I minded bringing my camera to take some pictures of them together on the beach- they are hoping to send Save the Dates in December and wanted beach pictures for them. I love taking pictures but I know this does not make me a photographer. It is something I enjoy doing, especially taking pictures of my cute little girl! I thought it would not hurt to try and hopefully we would get some pictures they could use.

They seemed to be very happy with the results and I have a feeling one or a couple of these pictures might show up on different things for their wedding! I really enjoyed taking the pictures and I am thinking of taking a class this fall- not trying to go professional, just trying to improve my technique!

Pat was great and played with Grace on the beach while we took the pictures. She LOVED the water, it was great! She had never been on a beach before to go swimming so I was interested to see if she loved or hated it. She was a little scared the first time a wave hit her but after that she loved it! She would walk farther and farther in and would giggle when waves hit her. She also loved pointing at the birds and waving at everyone on the beach- she is such a ham! Tears were shed when we left, but we will definitely be going back and soon!
