Another generation to love it...

When I was little, my Grandpa George and Grandma Rose gave me a dollhouse as a present. They had built it, with their own hands, and my brother, cousins, and I spent countless hours at their house playing with it. It stayed at their house as I grew older and my younger cousins were the next group to fill the house with imagination and stories. My grandparents fixed it up a couple years ago and gave it to me to take to my own home for my children.

For years, it has sat in our extra bedroom, waiting for a new group of children to come and explore it. Pat's nieces would sometimes come over and would always request to play with the dollhouse. They always remember that we have it, even though it is not in sight, and would rather play with it than any of Grace's other toys.

When the girls were over today, they requested once again for the dollhouse. As I sat and watched the girls playing with it, my heart was filled with joy that a new generation is enjoying something that gave me so much joy. Grace is still a little young to play with all of the pieces, but I can tell she will soon be ready to have the dollhouse in her play area. I see her spending countless hours playing, just as I did, and I can not put into words how this makes me feel. Thank you Grandpa George and Grandma Rose for this amazing gift and for allowing my daughter to enjoy it just as I did.
