Florida 2009

We took a lot of amazing pictures on our trip so I am warning you ahead of time, this post is going to be filled with pictures!!!

To start with, our trip to Florida was very eventful but definitely fun! Grace did great on the flight there, we had a small issue of our luggage being lost, but we rolled with the punches and we had it back by the next morning.

The weather in Florida the day we arrived was very rainy and stormy and my parent's campsite was a little flooded so we spent a night in a hotel.


The 2 days to follow were beautiful, sunny and warm, and we did a lot of time outside and on the beach. The next couple days were very windy, so we ended up in a hotel again, but once again we had a great time doing things during the day and relaxing at night. The last night and day were FANTASTIC! Pat and I did a date afternoon at Pier Park, did some shopping, had a fantastic dinner at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, and then spent the afternoon relaxing with my parents and enjoying one last campfire.




We did not fly out until the next afternoon and spent an amazing morning walking on the beach. It was beautiful and we got a ton of great pictures of Grace and my parents.
Our flight back was delayed and we ended up in North Carolina for an unexpected 2 hour layover. It was a cool airport and we spent the two hours exploring. We did not get home until 5am on Friday, about 5 hours behind schedule, but it felt so good to be home! We had a great time and I know we will visit again soon!
