We took Grace in for her 2 year check up yesterday. She was so excited. I mean, really, the kid was talking about it the whole car ride, telling us that the doctor was going to check her ears, nose, chin (not sure about that one), and mouth. I thought this is going to be a great visit. She loves playing with her doctor kit and will probably get a kick out of seeing the doctor.
No, this was not the case. She enjoyed exploring the waiting room and reading magazines but as soon as the nurse said hello to her, we had tears. And screaming. From weighing her to seeing the doctor, she was a mess. Nothing we did could console her. She was finally happy but that was when we told her to say good-bye to the doctor. At least it was a good ending!
So, as for an update, she is growing great, which we kind of guessed by the way she is growing out of her jeans! She is developmentally right on, actually a little ahead, which is great. Our biggest challenge is getting her to eat vegetables but we will keep working on it. All in all, a great appointment, crying aside.
