I have a couple funny Grace stories to share from the last two days.
-- Grace just realized that Pat and I have different names then just mom and dad. She knows our real names are Shawn and Patrick. She has a very hard time pronouncing the tr in Pat's name and it comes out sounding like "package". We were at Target on Friday and Grace knew we were going to have lunch with Pat afterward. She looked at me while we standing in line at Target and said "I love daddy package." It sounded so bad and she said it so loud! The check out lady and one other lady in line gave me a very strange look. I could only smile and shrug my shoulders- what do you say?
-- We went to the beach today with Gary and Steph and while playing in the water, Pat took his glasses off. Grace refused to go to Pat and kept asking for daddy. She had no idea who he was with his glasses off! As soon as he put his glasses on, she went right to him and hugged him tight. Hope Pat never gets contacts or Grace will be very confused!!!
-- Grace's language skills are growing everyday but there are still some words and sentences that are hard to understand. Pat and Grace were playing on the beach today and were running around our blanket. Grace loves the way the sand feels! Grace fell down while they were running around and said to Pat "My butt is dirty." Pat repeated back what he thought he heard which was "You smell like peanut butter and jelly?" Grace looked at him with a look of annoyance and repeated loudly, saying each word slowly and very loud, "MY BUTT IS DIRTY!" Hilarious! It was like she was older and talking to a small child she was furstrated with.
Oh, the age of 2 can definitely be a challenge for parents, but I think it is very challenging for the child, too! The language skills are starting but it can still be hard to communicate. She knows what she wants but does not always understand the concept of no and why she can not have it. We have definitely had some trying days with Miss Grace lately but the good moments are so good and funny it is hard to let the bad ones weigh us down.

LOL at "Package"! Well said about the terrible 2's being hard on the 2 year old too! Although, she doesn't seem to be in the "terrible" category at all!
