We decided to send Grace to daycare today so Pat and I could have one day of vacation to just get some stuff done around the house and a little down time without our wonderful but very active 2 year old around the house! Miss Grace was very excited to see Tina, our daycare provider, and I think she was looking forward to getting some time with her friends at daycare. We are very blessed to having someone as amazing as Tina to watch Grace, she has been taking care of Grace since she was 8 weeks old and has a very special bond with her.
Tina decided since she only had Grace and one other child today that she would see if we okay with her taking Grace to a movie. At first I was a little sad at the thought we would not take her to her first movie, but then I remembered that Pat's parents are taking her later this week to see a movie and this would probably be a good test run!
Grace loved the movie and could not stop talking about the whole experience on our way home this afternoon. They went to see The Princess and the Frog and Grace sat through the whole thing except to use the bathroom twice! It was a huge success and I have a feeling we will be doing family movie days this winter, especially when the weather is yucky and we just want to get out of the house!

We are going to see it on Thursday and it will be Pete's first movie. I'm hoping the whole novelty of it will override the fact that it is a princess movie :-)

I have been wondering how Addie would do in the theater... maybe we should give it a shot!
Did Pete like it Christina? Gracie was a huge fan, not sure if it was the movie or because it was her first one?
