Fantastic Weekend

This weekend was so what we needed after a very long week. Miss Grace was very sick last week and after a chest x-ray, it was finally confirmed on Thursday that she had pneumonia. She was started immediately on a round of antibiotics and was already feeling a ton better on Friday night!

Pat let me sleep in on Saturday morning and when I finally woke up (it was wonderful to sleep in!), Grace and Pat had made blueberry pancakes! We got ready and Grace went for an outing with Grandpa Tom and Grandma Pam and Pat took me to go see the movie, Dear John.



Yes, I know, I have a pretty amazing husband to sit through a movie where he was the only male in the theater and actually smile and hold my hand when I cried. It was his idea, too! The movie stayed pretty close to the book, which I have read and really enjoyed, so I was happy about that. Lots of tears, lots of dreamy love sequences, and the amazing Amanda Siegfried, who I love from Big Love. Overall, it gets a big thumbs up from me!

Miss Grace came back with a lovely blue bear covered in peace signs, do not ask! It was her pick and she definitely has "interesting" taste. I will have to get a picture and post it soon!

Sunday morning I was surprised with a pink rose from my husband and beautiful little girl. Very sweet and unexpected! Steph then came over to decorate cupcakes with Gracie and we then left to go see Valentine's Day. Another movie! I am done for a while but it was fun for one weekend! We had a good amount of girl time and then it was home for a yummy dinner. Overall a great Valentine's day and weekend!
