Roth Family of Five: Fall is here!

I can only hope and pray that we have seen the last of this yucky hot summer weather and that my favorite season has finally arrived! It is definitely chillier outside, but I, for one, am very happy for the change in weather. We should be getting new windows any day that will hopefully keep the cool air where it belongs- outside of our house!

Pat traveled to Denver, CO last weekend for a work trip and had an okay time. I think he definitely missed Grace, and we were glad to have him back on Monday! Grace and I spent the weekend up north with my parents and had a great time. We visited, played, and Grace got to see both sets of her great grandparents and her Great Uncle Bobby which was really fun. We also went to the Apple Fest in Hillman and got to visit with my cousin Stacy, Aunt Sandi and Uncle Bob, and spent some time with my friend Gina. It was so nice to see everyone and get a chance to visit for once.

Some new news on Grace- we are slowly and surely winning the solids battle, one new veggie at a time! She is a big fan of carrots, green beans, and sweat potatoes. She definitely does not like peas, but who can blame her! We are going to keep doing just veggies one more week, then start on some yummy fruits. She is a pro at sitting on her own and spends a lot of time talking to ceiling fans- it takes a lot to get her interested in talking to us, but she will have a 20 minute conversation with a fan no matter what time of day! She is starting to notice Lily more often, although Izzy is still a clear favorite right now. Lily is also noticing Grace more now that Grace sits by herself, and even gives her a lick or two depending on the day. (Maybe I should clarify, I mean Lily licks Grace, even though I am sure Grace would lick Lily if she were bigger)

Well, since this is my first blog in a while, here are some new favorite pictures and also a new video- Grace gets the giggles a lot now, and Pat is really good at getting her going using different toys. (My favorite is when he sings and dances, but I am yet to get that on tape- he threatens divorce if he ever finds a video of this on the internet!) I hope everyone is enjoying the cool weather!
