Pat had a work trip to California the second week of September and was gone from a Monday afternoon until Saturday morning and we were so excited to have him back home! Steph stayed with me part of the week to keep me company, Andrea invited us over for dinner one night, Pam and Tom took us out for dinner another night, and our wonderful neighbors had us over for dinner another night- we were definitely taken care of!
The next week was busy with work and we then had a date night switch with our neighbors for Friday and Saturday. I left early Sunday morning for a work trip to Vermont and Pat took Grace up north for a week visit with Grandpa Craig and Grandma Cathy! Pat had a couple quiet nights without Grace and I around but kept busy doing laundry, going out to dinner with his parents, and playing with the puppies. I flew into Chicago on Wednesday after a great couple days in Vermont (which is just beautiful!) and Pat met me for one night in Chicago. We stayed at a fancy hotel, went out to dinner, walked around downtown, and took a horse drawn carriage ride through the city. Amazing!
We then went up north to get Grace on Friday, who had been spoiled all week but was very excited to see mom and dad! We had both missed Grace like crazy and it was so good to have her back! We are now back home and so glad this month is over! Although traveling is fun and it is great to go to new places, we all missed each other and are glad to be back at home with the puppies.
I will post some of my pictures from Vermont in the next post but here are a couple pictures my mom took from Grace's time up north! Enjoy!
