Lunches with "Uncle"

If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would be living 40 minutes from my brother and having lunch with him at least once a week, I would have laughed at you! I love my brother, don't get me wrong, and I loved him very much when we were younger, but he was such a pain in the butt! Picking on me, pushing every button he could, and I had no patience or maturity to ignore him.

I feel blessed and lucky to say my brother and I are now friends, good friends, and that seeing him with Grace makes me heart feel so full. He is an amazing uncle, who loves spending time with Grace and takes the time out of his weekly schedule to spend some time with her.

He recently got a job about 5 minutes from our house and spends his 1 hour lunches at our house, eating, visiting, and playing with Grace on my days off. I love it because I get 20 minutes to clean up after lunch, she loves it because she gets Uncle's undivided attention, and Nick loves taking a break from his work day to read books and play.
