Enjoying the holiday season

This Thanksgiving was a great way to start off the holiday season. It was so relaxing and full of family and fun, I just kept thinking where is the stress? I always find the holiday season to be slightly stressful and I am so focused on everything going perfect that I do not always enjoy myself. This year has been so different and I can only hope that Christmas will be the same.

Here are some pictures from our fun this past 4 day weekend.

The weekend started early with Pat's parents taking Grace for the night on Wednesday and Pat and I got to go out with our friends and then sleep in the next morning! Definitely a nice start! Thanksgiving was spent with Pat's parents, where the food was simple and yummy, and while Grace took a 3 hour nap, we all got a chance to visit and play Eucher. Perfection!

My parents came Thursday night and we went to bed kind of early to prepare for Black Friday and the shopping craziness that was about to occur- see post on Black Friday fun. We relaxed after returning from shopping and when Nick got out of work we all headed to Chuck E Cheese for the night. The place was very empty when we first arrived and we had our pick of the games and space to sit in. Grace was soooo excited but I think Nick was even more excited! We had a blast and stayed for almost 2 hours.

Saturday we spent the morning relaxing, Pat and I did a quick run to Meijer in the morning to get a deal on a gift for Grace from Pat's parents. The place was dead, it was so weird compared to the day before. My parents left around noon for my brother's place and after Pat, Grace, and I all took a 3 hour nap, we also headed over to visit and enjoy another yummy meal. I am so bummed because the pictures I took that night would not download. We had a lot of fun pictures of Grace playing with Maizey, who she now loves since Maizey is done with the puppy stage.

Overall, it was the best 4 days, Pat and I had time today to clean and get more stuff to finish Grace's big girl room. I can't wait to see everyone again at Christmas!
