We had been discussing just painting over the wood paneling in our extra room and redoing the floors but Pat and his dad came up with a grand plan that was a lot more work! I am happy to say that it turned out amazing and Gracie loved it when she saw it for the first time yesterday.
She had picked out the paint color, new bed spread, rug, and wall decorations, but had never seen the process of the room being done. With a ton of help from Pat's dad, we were able to complete the room in time!
We showed her the room last night with all of the grandparents watching and she was so excited to move all of her toys and books into her room. My parents also bought her an art table which she got Christmas morning and she spent hours coloring on it.
